What is collected. Map Warfare accesses precise device location through the Android system (latitude, longitude, altitude, speed, bearing, and accuracy). On devices where the user grants only approximate location, only approximate values are accessed.
Why it is collected.Location data is used to power the operational features the application exists for: live position tracking on the map, breadcrumb (track) recording, Bloodhound GOTO navigation to a selected target, Lock-on-Self map centering, range & bearing measurements relative to your position, and the on-screen GPS readout in the tools panel.
Background and foreground service use. Location data is collected even when the application is closed or not in use, so that breadcrumb recording and active navigation can continue while the device is in your pocket or the screen is off. This is implemented as an Android foreground service of type location. While the service is running, Android displays an ongoing notification titled “Map Warfare — Live Tracking” with a Stop button so you can turn off background tracking at any time without opening the application.
Where it is processed. All location processing happens on your device. Map Warfare does not transmit, upload, sell, or share your location data with Tharven Technologies, with any analytics provider, or with any third party. There is no Map Warfare server that receives your coordinates.
Where it is stored.Recorded breadcrumb tracks, saved locations, drawn shapes, markers, and range & bearing entries are stored only in the application's private storage area on your device. They remain there until you delete them through the in-app interface or uninstall the application. You may export breadcrumb tracks as KML files to a location of your choice; sharing those exported files is entirely at your discretion.
Your control. You may revoke location permission, background location permission, or notification permission at any time from your device's system settings under Apps → Map Warfare → Permissions. Revoking permission disables the features that depend on it; the application will continue to run for all other purposes. Recorded data is not affected by revoking permission and can be cleared from inside the application.
